Our backstory, & a message from the owner:
"I have said for many years that I wanted to own my own salon. I had absolutely no idea when, where, or how, but I knew that's what I was going to do. Hey Beauty Salon had many names before I finally decided. I have been told that I need to share the story of how it became, so here it goes..
My dad has been the inspiration. My selfless, honest, patient, protective, consistent father. Anyone who knows him knows that he is a stand-up man and a dad to those who maybe didn't have a father. I have never questioned his love for me.
Growing up, a day never went by that I didn't hear a word of affirmation or nickname from my dad.
One name, in particular, is beauty.
He calls, and I answer, "Hey, beauty." He texts, "Hey, beauty..". From the outside, some would probably assume that my name was, in fact, beauty. Constantly hearing in my 26 years that I was beautiful without a doubt has played a huge role in how I talk to myself and look at myself in the mirror. There are good and bad days, of course, but one thing has remained consistent: the simple yet impactful words of my father.
For a living, I am building the confidence of my clients, and I build relationships with them. And one thing I want them never to question is their beauty inside and out. I knew it was only fitting that I take my dad's words and turn them into a brand that, for years and years, will be heard, read, and worn on clothing. That hopefully, someone out there will feel beautiful, loved, and valued.
